Current status
As of the date above, VideoPokerEdge does not maintain any active affiliate relationships and does not publish affiliate links.
This page explains our policy for commercial relationships if they are introduced in the future. If affiliate links appear on the Site, this disclosure will be updated and affected pages will identify affiliate content clearly.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a tracked link that may pay the publisher a commission when a reader clicks through and completes a qualifying action, such as registering with an operator, depositing funds, or otherwise meeting the terms of an affiliate programme.
Affiliate links normally do not change the price, odds, paytable, or terms available to the reader. Compensation is paid by the operator or commercial partner according to its affiliate programme terms.
How affiliate content will be disclosed
If VideoPokerEdge uses affiliate links in the future, those links will be disclosed clearly and close to where they appear. We aim to follow applicable advertising disclosure, consumer-protection, and search-engine transparency standards in the jurisdictions relevant to the Site and its readers.
Affiliate content may be identified through one or more of the following methods:
- A page-level disclosure such as “This page contains affiliate links”
- Contextual disclosure near a recommendation, comparison, or commercial call-to-action
- Clear labelling of commercial sections or outbound operator links
- Use of appropriate HTML attributes such as
rel="sponsored"orrel="nofollow"where applicable
Disclosure should not be hidden in fine print or separated from the commercial recommendation it explains.
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships, if introduced, will not determine the mathematical or editorial conclusions published on VideoPokerEdge.
Specifically:
- RTP figures, paytable values, house-edge calculations, variance data, and strategy explanations are based on mathematical sources and stated assumptions, not commercial relationships
- Affiliate compensation will not change whether a paytable is described as full pay, short pay, positive-EV, negative-EV, or otherwise
- Negative or limiting information about a commercial partner will not be suppressed because of affiliate status
- Operator comparisons, if published, must be based on disclosed criteria rather than commission size alone
- Commercial links will not be allowed to override responsible gambling information or jurisdictional warnings
If a conflict arises between editorial accuracy and commercial interest, editorial accuracy takes priority.
How we may evaluate potential partners
VideoPokerEdge may review potential affiliate partners in the future. Any such review should consider factors relevant to player risk, legality, and the quality of the video poker offering.
Minimum considerations may include:
- Whether the operator holds a valid licence or authorisation in the jurisdictions where it operates
- Whether the operator is legally available to the intended audience
- Whether video poker paytables are shown clearly before play
- Whether the operator offers competitive or transparent paytables where possible
- Whether withdrawal terms, identity verification rules, and bonus restrictions are clearly disclosed
- Whether the operator provides responsible gambling tools appropriate to its operating jurisdictions
- Whether there is a pattern of unresolved payout, fairness, or customer-service complaints
We do not intend to promote operators whose main value proposition depends on obscuring weak paytables, misleading bonus terms, unclear withdrawal rules, or access from jurisdictions where their product is not legally available.
Commercial relationships and content decisions
A commercial relationship may affect whether a link is monetised, but it must not affect the accuracy of RTP, paytable, strategy, or variance information.
VideoPokerEdge may decline, remove, or avoid commercial links if an operator does not meet our standards, if availability changes, if legal or regulatory concerns arise, or if the operator’s terms become inconsistent with the information presented on the Site.
Compensation models
Affiliate compensation in the gambling industry can take several forms, including:
- CPA: a fixed payment for a qualifying referred customer
- Revenue share: a percentage of net revenue attributed to referred customers
- Hybrid: a combination of CPA and revenue share
- Flat sponsorship: a fixed payment for clearly labelled advertising or placement
The compensation model should not determine mathematical analysis, strategy conclusions, responsible gambling content, or paytable classification.
What is not an affiliate relationship
The following are not affiliate relationships by themselves:
- Links to mathematical references or source citations
- Links to responsible gambling support resources
- Links to regulators, government pages, or legal information sources
- Mentions of books, tools, publications, or websites without tracked commercial links
- External links used only to verify RTP, paytables, strategy, or methodology
Where a source link is used for citation rather than commercial referral, it is treated as an editorial reference.
Responsible gambling and jurisdictional limits
Affiliate links, if introduced, do not mean that gambling is legal, appropriate, or available for every reader. Gambling rules, legal age, licensing, and product availability vary by jurisdiction.
Readers are responsible for checking whether an operator is legally available to them. Do not gamble with money you cannot afford to lose. If gambling is causing harm, seek confidential support from a qualified service in your country or jurisdiction.
